Position Summary
• Apply strong accounting knowledge to complete month end close process and to handle statutory audits and tax filings.
• Apply strong problem solving skill and analytical skill to handle accounting issues, primarily in revenue recognition, aim to reduce complexities and enhance efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in overseeing the month end close process of Asia and managing the daily accounting operations of Asia regional office in Hong Kong.
• Assist in supervising a team of staff and provide guidance.
• Review client's contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Perform analytical reviews on financial results on a monthly basis.
• Review journal entry vouchers and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and professionals regarding audit, tax and other regulatory matters for Asia entities.
• Manage and oversee annual statutory audits and tax filings for Asia entities.
• Assist in streamlining workflow and procedures including working with accounting system support team to improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain appropriate standards of internal control to ensure the accuracy and quality of revenues support SOX compliance efforts.
• Assist in managing projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
Key Requirements
• Holder of Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 4 years' related experiences, of which 2 years or above in supervisory role at sizable companies, and MNC and/or Big 4 audit experience is highly preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications such as PowerQuery.
• Experience in handling large volume of data and automation of management reports would be advantageous.
• Strong problem solver, capable of identifying root cause and identifying mitigation plans with practical solution approaches.
• Self-confidence, and good communication skills, including business writing.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and project management skills.
